The latest uprisings in Iran present familiar sights. The country is moving ever further down the path of revolution, albeit slowly, just as it all happened in 1979. There will
be a tipping point of some kind, though nobody of course can predict the form it will take. But it will happen, if it hasn’t
already, and it will spread. There can be no doubt.
The question to be asked is, are we prepared for the aftermath? Who among Iran’s
friends and enemies have planned accordingly? What kinds of surprises are in store?
